Tempura-Sushi

Hello there,

Welcome to my deviantArt. A little about myself, currently serving my country in the military. I love to eat, and second to that I'm also a big time toy collector. I started cosplaying in 2009 when I was inspired after watching an episode of Naruto on Cartoon Network. Itachi was really cool in that episode and it got me all into the mood of wanting to be someone like him. Coincidentally, I had just finished a module on Scenic and Costume design in school so I thought I could put the skills taught in class into something I could use. So i did a little research and Sasuke caught my eye, I love his story especially the part after he achieved his Mangekyo Sharingan, and so I set that as my very first cosplay plan. I must say there were times, during my first attempt that I wanted to just call it quits but because the materials were rather expensive, I thought why not, just go ahead with it. I officially started my journey on Anime Festival Asia 09' and it's been about a good 2 years since.

I must say this 2 years wasn't exactly smooth sailing. Starting out, I received loads of criticism, even before I even showed anyone my cosplay. It was demoralizing, especially the first 6 months or so but I have to admit it was the friends that I met who have brought me thus far. Giving constructive advice to one another, cheering each other on, and letting me know that I am not alone on this. Of course along the way we make a few, lose a couple but yea, I think I am who I am today because of them. So yea, to all my friends out there, new and old who have been by my side, this first journal is dedicated to you guys.
